Actress Manisha Koirala on Saturday unveiled her book ‘Healed’, her personal story of a battle against ovarian cancer. “Overcoming cancer has been a lesson in self-discovery and learning to love life again!! Dear friends, presenting you my book,” Manisha tweeted along with the book’s cover.

Penned by actress Manisha Koirala with Neelam Kumar, the book is subtitled “How cancer gave me a new life.” Manisha’s smiling face on the cover reflects the positivity that has helped her sail through the battle against the disease.

The book is the powerful, moving and deeply personal story of actor Manisha Koirala’s battle against ovarian cancer. From her treatment in the US and the wonderful care provided by the oncologists there to how she rebuilt her life once she returned home, the book takes us on an emotional roller-coaster ride through her many fears and struggles and shows how she eventually came out triumphant.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chropra are preparing for the big day of their international wedding and they have already got their marriage licence .
They are reportedly looking forward to get married in December, are one step closer to their upcoming wedding. Several international websites, including The Blast and E News, have reported that that the star couple recently obtained a marriage licence.

Sources told that the newly engaged couple came to the Beverly Hills Court to obtain their marriage licence. It was said that the couple plans to take the license to India for their wedding in December and eventually present the document in the US to make the official marriage in both countries.

Priyanka has already celebrated her bachelorette party in NYC with her friends. Then he traveled to Amsterdam with Sophie Turner for a second celebration. OMG! I hope they last forever ... I mean, with so many parties and you know ... ok, whatever.

Malaika spotted at Arjun Kapoor's home after partying together

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor seem to be in a mood to make their relationship official as they continue to add fuel to their linkup rumours. The two have been making one public appearances after another amid the speculations of a wedding. After partying the night away at Karan Johar’s Diwali bash, the two planned to catch up the following day. Malaika was spotted outside Arjun’s house in casual wear with her hair tied in a bun.

A report in Filmfare had suggested that the two might even get married earlier than expected. A source had told the magazine, “Malaika and Arjun are extremely fond of each other. They have never really spoken about each other but they are extremely happy in their own personal space. In a steady relationship now, Malaika and Arjun plan to take their relationship to next level and tie the knot next year.”

Meanwhile, Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz Khan has been making regular public appearances with girlfriend Georgia Andriani. The two had attended Arpita Khan’s Diwali bash together and were also spotted at Shilpa Shetty’s Diwali party. For the record, Malaika and Arbaaz had announced separation in 2015 and have a teenage son named Arhaan Khan.

In addition to showing the world how enamored they are, they say that Priyanka is very busy planning the wedding. They already celebrated their commitment in India , where the two families met.

Kapil Sharma, whose life and career has been under a cloud for some time now, says he wanted to keep the wedding under wraps.

After the news of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding broke the internet on Sunday, here comes another wedding date! Comedian Kapil Sharma will get married to his steady and stable girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Jalandhar.

Opening up on the topic of his marriage, Kapil said, "The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That's Ginni's hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish."

Kapil recalls how his elder brother was married with minimum ostentation. "During the time when my brother married, I had not started earning well. We just went as a small baraat (wedding procession) and got bhabhi (sister-in-law) home. But by the time my sister got married, I had begun to earn well. So we had a fairly large wedding. It was lavish by our standards."

Kapil, whose life and career has been under a cloud for some time now, says he wanted to keep the wedding under wraps. "For the past few weeks, I've been promoting my Punjabi film. I didn't want to talk about the wedding during the promotions, although the media repeatedly kept asking," he said.

So is he happy with the decision to finally marry his devoted girlfriend? "Of course I am. But more than me, the happiness that I see on my mother's face is what makes it special."

The wedding will be followed by a reception on December 14.

Anu Malik is acused of Sexual Harassment by two girls - He lifted my skirt & dropped his pants

In the rise of the #MeToo movement in India, many known personalities from different fields have been named and shamed on different social media platforms. One of the recent names added to the list of alleged accusers is Bollywood singer Anu Malik. Singer Sona Mahapatra and Shweta Pandit, have earlier accused Anu of sexual misconduct. Now, two more women have come forward and shared their horrific experience with the singer.

One of the victims, whose identity has not been revealed, talked to Mid-Day and said that she met Malik in 1990 at Mehboob Studios where he rubbed himself against her and apologised. She went on to reveal that things got out of hands later when they had to collaborate on a fund-raiser.

Revealing about the incident that took place at Anu’s house, she said, “He sat next to me on the sofa. I realised I was trapped as his family was not at home. He then lifted my skirt and dropped his pants. I thought of pushing him and rushing out the door, but he was too strong for me. Luckily, the doorbell rang at that moment.”She said that he threatened her and told her not talk about the incident with anyone.

“It was around 8.30pm when he drove into a dark, empty maidan. Scared, I asked him where we were. But he simply unzipped his pants and asked me to lick him! I told him no and urged him to let me go, but he pulled me by my hair and stuffed my face in his lap, hurling abuses,” the victim added.

Another victim revealed that Anu had asked her to meet at his place wearing a chiffon saree. She said that just when she was about to leave, he tried to hug her.

Finding herself trapped at the moment, the second victim went on to say, “Panic struck me as I realised the recording studio was sound-proof and no one would hear me even if I screamed. I pushed him away and said, ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ The sick pervert immediately broke into his presumably rehearsed line: ‘No, I am happy with my wife, I am a sensitive man!'”.

Earlier, Anu Malik’s lawyer said in a statement, “The allegations made against my client are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless. My client respects the #metoo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious”.

Amitabh Bachchan is paying off the loan of 850 farmers from UP ammointing 5.5 crore

Amitabh Bachchan said that 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified and their loans amounting to Rs 5.5 crore will be taken care of by him.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan says over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified, and their loans to the tune of Rs 5.5 crore will be taken care of.

He said over 350 farmers’ loans that were difficult to pay off, were paid off too to prevent them from committing suicide.

“A list of over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified and their loans amounting to over 5.5 crores shall be taken care of. The assistance from the Bank in question assists in its execution and its benevolence,” the 76-year-old actor posted on his blog.

He had recently, through the government agencies, identified 44 families who had lost their loved ones – martyrs who gave up their lives for the country – and distributed cash to them as a gesture.

Big B said on his blog that it was a “satisfying experience”.

“44 families diversified into 112 entities were given out in my small way from Maharashtra. The Bravehearts, the shaheed… More needs to be done from other parts of the country too… it shall be done,” he added.

Barun Dhawan becomes the youngest actor to get wax statue in HK museum

Gen-next star, Varun Dhawan, is quite literally, on a roll. After delivering two back-to-back Rs 100 crore films with Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2, the 30-year old actor has added one more feather to his hat. Varun is all set to be the next and the youngest celebrity to have his statue at a popular wax museum in Hong Kong. The SOTY actor will join the figurines of Mahatma Gandhi, PM Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan at the museum. Over the past two decades, B-Town celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene have been immortalised through wax statues.

A group of the sculpting team flew down to Mumbai to take the measurements of the actor, which included matching his hair and eye colour for the statue. Expressing his happiness on getting a wax statue of his own, Varun Dhawan, was quoted in a BombayTimes report as saying that, “It was a great experience. I am so excited to get my wax figure in Hong Kong.”



During an interview with a leading portal, while talking about his career chart, Varun had said, “Initially, I used to be very hyper and competitive in my career. But I feel I haven’t been like that in the last three years. I have changed in that sense. Himalaya Caravan Actor Thinle No More

Noted Nepalese movie actor Thinle Lhondup has passed away on Sunday along with the horse he was riding.

 

Thinle is popularly known worldwide due to his lead role in the movie Himalaya Caravan directed by Eric Valli.

 

According to the family source, Thinle and his horse fell down off the steep trail while going up to Saldang village from Dunai, headquarter of Dolpa district. Police Inspector Dhruwaraj Raut from Dolpa  said that Thinle passed away  falling down off the narrow trail after pushed by some donkey travelling from the opposite direction.

 

According to the landlord Ram Krishna Regmi at Dunai , where Thinle had been living for some time, his body will be brought to Dunai by helicopter or carrying by people on Monday.

 

Thinle had been getting treatment of stomach cancer for some time.

 

His movie Himalaya Caravan was the first and only Nepalese movie to be nominated in the Oscar on Best Foreign Language Film category.Himalaya received the Cesar Award for Best Cinematography and Cesar Award for Best Original Score in 2000.

Apart from Himalaya, Thin Le had acted in few Nepalese movies and music videos. Sa Karnali by Amrit Gurung (Nepathya Band) is the most popular song screened  on him.

His life has ended in a tragic way like in the movie Caravan itself where a Yak falls down to Phoksundo Lake due to very dangerous, steep and narrow road over the Phoksundo lake.

Thinle has become the unannounced tourism ambassador for Dolpo Region after the movie. Several INGOs have recognized Dolpa region, it's beauty and the hardship facing by people there and worked on education, health and development sector to improve the lifestyle of local people in Dolpo region.

Before the movie Himalaya, Thinle was head of the village and he was also elected as the Village Development Committee Chief after the restoration of democracy in Nepal.

Bollywood Actor Salman Khan Sentenced To 5 Years In Jail

 

Famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan is sentenced to 5 years in prison on 2002 Hit-and-run case.He is found guilty on drink drive and killing a homeless man in 2002.
The Sessions court judge DW Deshpande said that all the changers against him is proved. While hearing the verdict, Salman almost collapsed with tears and his family members present at the court premises were also so sad.
The defense lawyer has said that Salman has pleaded for lesser sentence because of his humanitarian work and also the he has paid Rs 19 Lakhs as compensation to the victim's family.

Indian Actor Anupam Kher In Nepal

Popular Indian actor Anupam Kher has arrived in Nepal to attend a charity show. He will participate in  charity show for fundraising for poor and homeless students who have been studying at Kosheli School at Shantinagar Kathmandu.

He has expressed happiness from his twitter after arriving in Kathmandu. He has also posted some photos taken with those students and praised good efforts by Kosheli Foundation and stressed on it's continuity.

Mr Kher will attend a stage drama program called "Kuchh Bhi Ho Sakta Hai" based on his

life which will be performing at Army Officer's Club Bhadrakali Kathmandu.He has been also running a TV show on Indian Colors TV related to "Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai".

Anupam Kher has acted in hundreds of Hindi and few English language movies. He has been mainly recognized for his comedy roles although he is undoubtedly a versatile actor.

He will be sharing some of his life experiences in the show and he will also visit Pashupatinath Temple in his Nepal stay.



Prashant Tamang Fears To Be Suspended From Indian Police Force

Famous Singer and Indian Idol Season 3 winner Prashant Tamang has been suspended from Indian Police force. He is said to be sacked due to long time absence from the duty. Prashant had been working in Calcutta Police as a soldier before he become Indian Idol 3.
Quoting a Bengali Daily, Hamro Prajashakti Daily from Sikkim has published the news of his termination on its Thursday edition.Tamang had taken a long holiday for 1870 days between the period of 2009 to 2014.He was interrogated by Western Bengal Police for being absent for such long time but couldn't provide a satisfactory reason that resulted his termination. Prashant was recruited in Bengal Police after the demise his father Madan Tamang while on service.
After wining the Indian Idol 3 Title, Prashant has been busy with many TV and stage programs through out India, Nepal and other parts of the world among Nepalese community. Prashant has also acted in few Nepali movies, Gorkha Paltan was a hit among them.

In one scene in Milan Luthria’s “The Dirty Picture”, the protagonist, determined to make life miserable for one particularly pesky journalist, stages an impromptu dance performance in front of the journalist’s house — gyrating atop her car and biting her lip suggestively. Soon, a crowd gathers, there are wolf whistles and catcalls, and the police are called in to control the chaos that ensues.

Wearing nothing but a skimpy, midriff-baring blouse, pants and over-the-top sunglasses, Silk, as she’s called in the film is all smiles, and it’s obvious she’s loving every moment. You could say the same about Vidya Balan in the film. She’s having a blast playing Silk and it shows in every frame of the film.

Like its subject, the tone of Luthria’s movie is slightly over-the top and tends to caricaturize certain characters, but the lead performance is so all-encompassing that you don’t mind these flaws.

Vidya Balan plays Reshma, a small-town girl who comes to Chennai (Madras in those days) to fulfil her desire to act in films. Confident of her sexuality and not averse to using it to get what she wants, she bares her bosom and much more, and revels in her success as audiences go nuts over her.

She begins an affair with superstar Suryakant (played by Naseeruddin Shah), the seemingly ageless actor (playing college boys even in his middle age), seducing him both off and on-screen.

Luthria seems to skim the surface of a lot of the problems for Silk’s downfall — alcoholism, a new younger actress, her love life, her loneliness but he doesn’t get to the bottom of any of them. The dialogue in the film, by Rajat Arora, is brilliant in some places, but corny in so many more, lending to the caricaturish nature of the film.

Of the rest of the cast, Naseeruddin Shah is the best among the three male leads; the lecherous look he gives Silk during their first encounter is pitch-perfect. Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi are more laboured, especially Kapoor, who is so stiff and expressionless you wish Luthria had chosen a better actor for the part.

The movie is brilliant in the first half, as it chronicles Silk’s rise and her fame and the times that this takes place in, but towards the middle of the second half, Luthria loses control and it all comes apart at the seams.

That’s it about the movie, but what I really want to talk about is Vidya Balan. In an industry where people are so conscious of their image and brand, she is one actor who has managed to be conscious of her work. To do a role which requires you to show off your thunder thighs, jelly belly and act like a slut, but to do with it so much panache that you cannot help but stand up and applaud her, takes guts and style and so much more. Just for her and her courage and her outstanding performance, you should watch “The Dirty Picture”.

Justin Bieber is the father of my child

 A 20-year-old California woman, Mariah Yeater, has come up with a quite colorfully articulated story that Bieber is the father of her 3-month-old baby.

Yeater filed a paternity suit against the pop star yesterday, alleging that Bieber had unprotected sex with her backstage at one of his concerts, and has demanded a paternity test to "scientifically confirm" that he is the father.

Yeater's story goes like this: A security guard approached Yeater and led her backstage after one of Bieber's concerts. She claims she and Bieber moved to an area where they could be alone, at which time his "personality drastically changed."

Yeater claims, Bieber then, "began touching me and repeatedly said he wanted to f**k the sh*t out of me. At the time I asked him to put a condom on for protection, but he insisted that he did not want to ... Justin Bieber then quickly took off my clothes and we had sex. He was on top of me and with my legs around him."

Yeater says she "stole" Bieber's virginity and the sexual encounter lasted only 30 seconds, however they didn't exchange phone numbers because Bieber was "embarrassed." Her son, Tristyn Anthony Markhouse, was born in July.

Bieber, who is dating singer and actress Selena Gomez, tweeted today about the allegations, "so Im going to ignore the rumors...and focus on what is real. an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!

Die-hard fan builds shrine to Bollywood's Khan

- Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has a legion of fans all over the world, but not many will be able to beat Vishal Singh's obsession with the star.

The 38-year-old businessman has plastered every square inch of his house with Khan's pictures and spent his honeymoon waiting outside the actor's house in Mumbai, hoping to catch a glimpse of his idol.

"I will do anything that will make Shah Rukh Khan happy," Singh, who runs a homeopathic medicine business from Lucknow, told Reuters.

Singh's house is a shrine to Khan. There are cut-outs of Khan on the ceiling, the television and even on cushions. Singh has even changed his name to Vishahrukh Khan.

"No one can be like Shah Rukh Khan, but I wanted my name to have his name. My children are named Simran and Aryan, which is his son's name," he said. Simran is the female lead in one of Khan's biggest movies.

His family was initially less than impressed with his adoration of the star, Singh said.

"My parents were very worried about me, but now they know that my love for Shah Rukh will never end," he added.

Khan has met his fan several times, including on Singh's honeymoon, when Singh drove more than 1,300 km (810 miles) with his wife to Mumbai. Khan has not returned the favour as yet, even though he's promised to visit Singh's home.

"I've been wanting to open up a store of homeopathic medicines, but I won't open it until Shah Rukh comes and cuts the ribbon," he said.

Khan, 46, is one of India's most revered stars, and his latest film, "Ra.One", opened to packed houses during the Diwali festival last week. Singh will watch the movie for the fourth time in a week on Wednesday, which is Khan's birthday.

"We'll cut a cake, dance and watch the movie. We'll celebrate our love for him," he said.

Brad Pitt says thoughts on Aniston misunderstood

A story posted on Parade magazine's website on Thursday in which Brad Pitt talks about his life with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston put the actor in damage control mode, saying his words had been misinterpreted.

The 47-year-old Pitt said in a profile by Parade magazine posted on the publication's website that he is now a "satisfied man" in his relationship with Angelina Jolie.

The "Moneyball" star compares his new life with Jolie, with whom he is raising 6 kids, favorably to the roughly five years he spent married to Aniston.

"It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself," Pitt told Parade.

"I think that my marriage (to Aniston) had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't," he added.

Those quotes were interpreted by many media outlets as meaning Pitt thought Aniston was uninteresting. But the A-list actor sought to clarify himself in a statement issued later by his talent agency.

"It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself -- and that, I am responsible for," Pitt said in the statement.

Pitt and "Friends" star Aniston were married in 2000, and he has largely avoided talking about her since their 2005 divorce.

In the magazine interview, Pitt also said he spent the 1990s "trying to hide out" from celebrity. "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out," he said.

Although Pitt and Oscar winner Jolie have been together for more than five years, the actor has said they will not marry until gay marriage is widely legalized. He is sticking to that.

"We'll get married when everyone can," Pitt told Parade.

The Parade interview with Pitt, who stars in the upcoming baseball drama "Moneyball," is being published in this Sunday's edition of the magazine.

'Twilight' trailer reveals vampire baby on the way

So much for chastity in the world of the "Twilight" vampires.

The movie trailer for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" has been released, and it shows that the franchise's heroine Bella Swan and her vampire lover Edward Cullen finally get intimate -- after marriage, of course.

The trailer released on Tuesday for the upcoming fourth film in the series shows the wedding of the previously chaste Bella and Edward, their steamy honeymoon and Bella's difficult pregnancy with a half-human, half-vampire baby.

Fans seem to have taken a liking to the trailer in which a panicky Edward describes his bride's pregnancy by exclaiming, "It's crushing you from the inside out." The trailer has already been viewed over 130,000 times on YouTube.com.

The "Twilight" franchise became an instant hit when the first movie came out in 2008, appealing to an audience of mainly teenage girls and young women. The series tells of the love between young Bella and Edward, but until this latest chapter the pair had not consummated their relationship.

The films based on the books by Stephenie Meyer and produced by independent studio Summit Entertainment have made a total of $790 million at U.S. and Canada box offices, according to tracking firm Box Office Mojo.

Summit has decided to break the last book in the series into two films from director Bill Condon, with "Part 1" slated for release on Nov. 18 and "Part 2" coming out next year.

Glenn Close pours "crazy passion" into 'Albert Nobbs'

In her 29-year film career, Glenn Close has been nominated for five Oscars, won three Emmys, and prompted a generation of married American men to think twice about cheating with her turn as an obsessed lover in 1987's "Fatal Attraction".

But through it all, she harbored the dream of bringing to the big screen "Albert Nobbs", a curious tale about a woman driven by circumstance to pass herself off as a man in 19th-century Dublin. It premiered this week at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Close first played the titular character on stage in 1982, and 15 years ago launched an all-out effort to get the film made, shepherding the project through script rewrites, casting changes and endless searches for private investors.

"The nature of these kinds of films is you've got to have this crazy passion behind them, because they're outside the box," Close told Reuters, flashing a broad smile that would be out of place for the repressed and buttoned-down Nobbs.

"I knew it was going to be hard. I didn't know it was going to be 15 years hard," said Close, who also co-wrote the script and produced the Rodrigo Garcia-directed film.

With a pallid face, straight back and Charlie Chaplin-style walk, Close's portrayal of Nobbs bears little resemblance to the femme fatales and authority figure roles that have defined her career.

As a waiter in a swanky Dublin hotel, Nobbs keeps to herself, hiding her gender from co-workers and squirreling away money for the day when she can leave and open a business.

But her cloistered reality is broken by the arrival of the painter Hubert, played by Janet McTeer, who harbors a secret similar to Nobbs, prompting the waiter to consider trying to reclaim whatever true identity remains under her disguise.

NEW TERRAIN FOR CLOSE

Despite her familiarity with the character from her previous stage work, Close found herself in new territory this time around, having aged nearly 30 years and now dealing with cameras rather than a live theater audience.

"I found it challenging when I did it all those years ago, and it's even more challenging on film because you have close-ups...film looks into somebody's soul," Close said.

While critics have been lukewarm to the overall movie, Close's performance has won generally strong early reviews. Daily Variety calls it a "career-crowning role," and others have wondered if the gender-bending nature of the character may allow the actress to finally break her Oscar jinx of five nominations with no wins.

As the joyful and self-possessed Hubert, McTeer offers a counterweight to the painfully repressed Nobbs and one of the only characters in the film that doesn't seem pushed to the point of desperation by Victorian-era Dublin.

"This film isn't just about me dressing as a fellow and Glenn dressing as a fellow, it's about poverty and about what that does to woman," McTeer told Reuters. "There were very few ways of escaping from that as a woman at the time."

For Close, the story at its core is about survival, and what lengths people will go to to endure in difficult circumstances. "It doesn't have to be being a man. I think everybody puts on some sort of face walking out their door every day," she said.
