Microsoft is developing a translation feature for Outlook.com, expanding on similar features in its Windows and Mac applications.

Called "Translator for Outlook Web," this function will allow users to translate words, phrases, or entire messages within their emails.

Users will also have the option to set up automatic translations for emails received in foreign languages and will be prompted to decide whether they want to translate an email when they receive it.

Users can utilize the native translator located at the top of the email or select specific words or phrases for translation.

Furthermore, they can set their preferences to always translate emails, never translate them, or be asked each time.

To avoid repetitive translations, translated email data will be stored for 15 days, enabling users to revert to the original message or enable automatic translation for all emails in their chosen language.

The new feature is expected to be launched in September 2023, although a specific date has not been announced yet. The implementation is likely to be gradual.

If the translation option is not immediately available, users can manually translate emails using the "Home" options ribbon or adjust translation preferences in settings.

With James Bond 25 having shifted to February 2020, Wonder Woman 1984 wasn't expected to face much competition on its former November 2019 date, but with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker opening a month prior on October 4, it appears WB wasn't particularly keen on releasing two DC films in such close proximity to one another. 20th Century Fox's Kingsman 3 (Nov. 8), Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog (Nov. 8), Paramount's Terminator 6 (Nov. 15), and Disney's Frozen 2 (Nov. 27) opening in subsequent weeks also likely helped expedite the decision to delay the film.

BREAKING: North Korea DISASTER – at least 200 dead as Kim Jong-un's nuclear base COLLAPSES

It comes as experts warned North Korea's nuclear test risked collapse and could be unstable after repeated bomb blasts.
At least 100 were crushed in the tunnel, and another 100 crushed in a second collapse rescue efforts, reports Japanese TV.
Reports state the collapse was in an "unfinished" tunnel being constructed at the mountain site Punggye-ri.
There have been fears a major collapse could also release radioactive material over the Korean Peninsula.

Chief of South Korea's weather agency Nam Jae-cheol warned another nuclear blast could trigger a collapse of the North's mountainous test site.
North Korea tested its biggest ever nuclear bomb earlier this year – detonating its first ever H-bomb.
Since then, inexplicable earthquakes have been detected at the test range, suggesting it was unstable.

Meanwhile, Paul Richards, a seismologist at Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, said: “What we are seeing from North Korea looks like some kind of stress in the ground.
"In that part of the world, there were stresses in the ground, but the explosions have shaken them up."

Tensions continue to rage between the West and North Korea over Kim’s quest for nuclear ICBMs.

Pyongyang has been silent since September 15 – not carrying out any nuclear or missile tests since firing one over Japan.

There are now fears Kim could make good on his threat to fire the dreaded "Juche Bird".

Daughter of jailed Vietnamese blogger calls on Melania Trump for help

HANOI, Oct. 28 (AFP) - The 10-year-old daughter of Vietnamese dissident blogger "Mother Mushroom" has written a letter calling on the US First Lady to push for her mother's release from prison ahead of President Donald Trump's visit to the communist nation next month.

The girl's mother, whose real name is Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh, is among more than two dozen Vietnamese who have been jailed as part of a sweeping crackdown on dissent over the past year.

Analysts say the authoritarian regime has been emboldened by the rise of Trump, who is seen as taking a softer approach on human rights.
The handwritten letter by Nguyen Bao Nguyen, whose nickname "Mushroom" is the root of her mother's pen name, comes ahead of the American president's first official visit to Vietnam for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in November.


"Please help my family re-unite because I know my mother did nothing wrong," 10-year-old Nguyen Bao Nguyen wrote in the note posted on her grandmother Nguyen Thi Tuyet Lan's Facebook page Thursday.
Lan said it is the fourth letter the girl has penned to the First Lady, who bestowed Quynh with a "Woman of Courage Award" in March. The move riled Hanoi, who said it was "not appropriate and of no benefit for the development of relations between the two countries".

"I told my granddaughter that Mrs. Trump is very busy, her assistant might read the letter, so we can only hope," Lan told AFP. Quynh was handed a 10-year prison sentence in June on charges of spreading anti-state propaganda through Facebook posts that touched on politics and environmental issues.

The 37-year-old is one of Vietnam's most vocal critics, penning regular blog posts on the authoritarian country's human rights record, deaths in police custody and the handling of a toxic leak that killed tonnes of fish last year.

The United States, Britain and the European Union have all called for her release. Trump's first visit as President to the Southeast Asian country will take him to the APEC summit in Da Nang and onwards to Hanoi for meetings with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and other senior leaders.

It is part of a wider Asia tour which will see the American leader visit Japan, South Korea, China and the Philippines. Human Rights Watch, which says at least 28 people have been arrested on dubious charges over the past year, and has called foreign governments to put pressure on Vietnam's dismal rights record at the APEC meeting.
