Election Commissioner Narendra Dahal has said that dissemination of positive news from media was necessary to make the upcoming elections free, fair and cost-free.
At a concluding ceremony of the training on 'Election and Media' in Kathmandu Tuesday, Commissioner Dahal said, "Country is in the phase of implementation of constitution. The role of media is significant for boosting people's mandate. All should contribute to make the election a success."
On the occasion, Vice-President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Dilip Thapa Magar, expressed commitment that they would implement the knowledge gained from the training to make the upcoming election free, fair and transparent.
Theoretical and practical knowledge related to election was imparted in the training.
