The match was pushed into extra 30 minutes after the 1-1 draw in the regulation time.
Robert Lewandowski scored for Poland in the second minutes of the first half but Renato Sanches scored the equalizer goal in the 36th minutes. No team could score on the second half and the match had to be decided by Penalty Shoot Out.
All five players scored for Portugal whereas Portuguese keeper saved the shot from Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Portugal will play with the winner team between Wales and Belgium in the semifinal.
