Director Alok Nemwang Found Dead At His Residence

Popular Nepali film and music videos director Alok Nemwang has been found dead at his residence at Dhapasi.Police was informed Thursday evening around 8 pm where he was found hanging under the railing of the staircase at his apartment. His body has been taken to TU Teaching Hospital at Maharajganj.It is said that the post-mortem report will be out at 10 am today. The family has informed that they will come up with the entire information shortly.Initial report has shown that he has committed suicide that a suicide note has been recovered from the incident scene.
Alok Nemwang was a very talented person who was educated from US and started his career as a VJ at a musical program named Image Chanel at NTV, he later started directing music videos which numbered more than 500 hundreds and presented "Sano Sansar" as his debutant feature movie which was a turning point of new era in Nepali movies and the youth artists. His second movie Kohi Mero was an average movie and the third and the last movie "Ajhai Pani" is due for release on coming February.Alok Nemwang was an icon for alot of Nepali youths whose innovative work and fashion consciousness was incomparable to any other media person in Nepal.
Nemwang's popular music videos included Lakhau Patak by Nabin K Bhattarai, Bashma Chhaina Mero Man by Rajan Ishan,  Chhori Magna Janda by Kranti Aale, Nabirse Timilai by Anju Pant and many more. In the latest interview with Sukrabar (Nagariknews Supplementary) Newspaper, Nemwang has said that he was always  proud to work with popular actresses like Namrata Shrestha, Jharna Bajracharya etc .
In the interview Nemwang has expressed frustration about our society that his interest and  respect on human being has been fading but sifting towards animals. He had kept several pets at home including dogs, cats and birds.
It is very sad that Nepali entertainment industry has lost a very talent personality, may his soul rest in peace.You will always be missed and respected for your tremendous work in the industry.
