Eleven people have been killed and 29 injured while a passenger bus ( Na.5.Kha. 5420) traveling to Mahendranagar from Dipayal of Far Western Nepal slipped off the road at ward no. 2 of Sahajpur VDC , Kailali.
According to Police Inspector Gobinda Palwa Bhatta from the incident site, out of 11 confirmed dead, 9 were dead at the accident scene while 2 were dead while undergoing treatment. None of the deceased have been identified yet. The initial investigation has suggested that the bus driver should have fell into sleep while driving.
Rescue and Crowd Control Police Team from Kailali District Police Office have arrived at the accident site. All the injured in the accident have been brought at Padma Hospital and Sewa Nurshing Home located at Attariya.
